Functionality reigns supreme when it comes to Female Design. Have you ever walked into a home, and a large pile of clutter is greeting you as you pass through the entry? Sports equipment, dog supplies, school bags and coats are just a few of the usual items we need readily available when it’s time to go out into the world. Although there is an individual in the house that is responsible for each of these items, it is not always functional to store them away from the exit and entry. In this situation, a well lit and wide open mud room, with coat racks, shelving, and storage shaped to provide a space for all the items you and your family will need on a busy weekday morning might do the trick.

Female Focused Is Not Just A Design Element

It is the whole process from learning how you live now, to considering how your home needs to change as you age. Perhaps you will ned to care for aging parents, or accommodate children returning to the nest during those times of their lives when they need help. Your home should provide whatever you desire, whether it is space to entertain or space to unwind and relax. Designing for these elements is the cornerstone to Female Focused Design.
